CAMINANDO is a poignant and heart-felt evening length dance work by Phoenix choreographer, Liliana Gomez. It is based on stories of childhood, music at family gatherings, the food at the fiestas and the nostalgia of home. It’s an all Latine cast performing to a beautiful live soundtrack by singers Marivel & Jesse Simms of Revizor, who will also do a music set before the concert. The show is narrated by Ricky Araiza of Teatro Bravo, who joins the cast on stage, reading personal narratives of love, migration and of the matriarch of the family.  The title is inspired by the lyrics of Los Caminos de La Vida, the journey of life in which Ms. Gomez thanks her parents through dance, live music and spoken word, for traveling across borders for their family!
